Our technical contribution mainly focuses on the design, development, and test of Flying Edge Computing solution. - Resilient-Trust - Trusted SMEs for Sustainable Growth of Europeans Economical Backbone to Strengthen the Digital Sovereignty, EU HORIZON-KDT-JU-2022-2-RIA, 2023-2026.
The project aims to propose and evaluate solutions to assess and improve the end-to-end security of IoT processing chains with a focus on strong exploitation for SMEs.
Our technical contribution mainly focuses on developing and testing a security assessment procedure to evaluate the security level of a smart ship equipped with wireless interfaces (GPS, internal Wi-Fi, 4G, satellite). - FOLLOW-ME - Flying drOnes to Locate cyber-attackers in LOraWan Metropolitan nEtworks, Progetto di ricerca di Rilevante Interesse Nazionale (PRIN), 2023-2025.
The project aims to develop and test a tool to allow a properly equipped UAV to detect and localize and “chase” a cyber attacker within the monitored area focusing on the LoRaWAN communication technology.
Our technical contribution mainly focuses on designing the attacker localization algorithm and developing the prototype of the flying drone. -
OpenSatRange: Un cyber range aperto per la formazione in cyber security di operatori di sistemi e reti satellitari, Italian Space Agency (ASI) reseach project, bando di finanziamento “Giornate della Ricerca Accademica Spaziale”, Tavolo tematico “Cybersecurity”.
The project aims to develop a cyber range platform able to offer an environment in which to emulate/simulate a customizable space system to support training courses in cyber security.
Our technical contribution involves the creation of the simulation component of the cyber range depicting a terrestrial/satellite communication system in order to train managers and users to identify and protect themselves from cyber attacks of various kinds. -

The project aims to develop and test Machine Learning-based monitoring algorithms to improve the Network and Cyber-Physical security of smart grid systems. - RAISE - Robotics and AI for Socio-Economic Empowerment, Piano Nazionale di Ripresa e Resilienza (PNRR), Ecosistema dell’innovazione, 2023-2025.
The project aims to design and test Machine Learning-based approaches to improve the Quality of Services and protection from cyber-attacks of industrial-type networks.
