Muhammad Saad Sohail

Muhammad Saad Sohail, born in Pakistan, is currently a Phd Researcher at the University of Genoa, Italy, working in collaboration with Aitek SpA. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Telecommunications from Pakistan. He later earned his Master’s degree in Engineering Technology – Security and Strategy from the University of Genoa, where his thesis focused on data analysis techniques for gas turbine operative status recognition.

His main research interests lie in Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) communications, with particular emphasis on the integration, performance, and security of V2X network systems. His work involves the design and evaluation of connected vehicle communication architectures, including the development and analysis of secure V2X testbeds. He actively works with Software-Defined Radio (SDR) platforms and GNU Radio Companion, developing communication modules, analyzing waveform behavior, and creating experimental V2X communication pipelines. He is also engaged in advancing cybersecurity for intelligent transportation systems, with a focus on strengthening the resilience of V2X networks against emerging cyber threats.
