Biography
Nour Badini is currently a Post Doctoral Researcher at the Satellite Communications and Heterogeneous Networking Laboratory, University of Genoa, Italy. She earned her Ph.D. in Science and Technology for Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering in 2024 from the University of Genoa, Italy. Before her doctoral studies, she completed a Master's degree in Computer and Communication Engineering in 2020 at the Lebanese University, Beirut, Lebanon. Her main research interests include the integration of satellites into 5G and beyond communication networks, with a particular emphasis on efficient routing and handover management in Non-Terrestrial Networks to ensure high quality of service in satellite communications. She is also actively involved in applying advanced Machine Learning techniques to enhance both the performance and security of next-generation communication networks. In the field of cybersecurity, her work focuses on developing intelligent and adaptive defense mechanisms by leveraging physical-layer device identification through RF device fingerprinting.
